Late Alh. Bello Njidda


Alh Bello Njidda was born in to the Chanba Chan family in Yebbi village, Ganye Local Government, Taraba State. On 26th July 1946. His mother was Hajiya Jiddere and his father was Gang Njidda, the paramount ruler of Chamba Kingdom. He Attended primary school in Yebbi before going to middle school in Yola which is now known as General Murtala Muhammad College. prominent amongst his classmate were the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Speaker Bashir Tango , Ambassador Y shamaki and former Secretary to the Military Government, Maliki Daniel.


Njidda while Increasingly Politically involved from 1979 only joined the then great Nigeria People Party[GNPP]and contested for House Of Assembly Member He was asked to stepped down by the elders of the party for zoning. He was later Appointed the Secretary to Ganbi local Government [1979-1981] and was transferred to Sardauna local Government from (1981 to 1983) He was appointed as Chairman Wukari Local Government and later appointed as the Deputy Governor of Gongola State He also held traditional tittle Dallatun Ganye from 1985 to his dead. In 1993, he was elected as the Chairman Social Democratic party Adamawa state. After the tenure he became the Chairman Elders from Adamawa state. With the of third Republic, he was appointed as the Chairman Organizing Committee Of Africa Cup of Nation in 2000 After the assignment he was Appointed Board Member (PRODA) and later Board Chairman Federal Medical Centre, Azare. Alhaji Bello Njidda dead on the 15th October, 2001. He survives by 12 children, 5 females, 7 males & many grandchildren’s.
